Structure

The management of CIEM is carried out through its Director, Steering Committee and Scientific Committee.

  • The Director is a mathematician nominated by the Chancellor of the University of Cantabria. Currently, it is Francisco Santos.
  • The Steering Committee has the CIEM´s Director as president, a representative of the city-hall of Catro Urdiales, and a representative of the University of Cantabria. Currently the latter are Concepcion Carranza (Town councellor of Culture of Castro Urdiales) and Eduardo Casas Renteria (Vice-Chancellor for University Expansion).
  • The Scientific Committee currently consists of:

    • Juan A. Cuesta, Universidad de Cantabria.
    • Manuel de León, CSIC-ICMAT.
    • Laureano González, Universidad de Cantabria.
    • Tomás Recio, Universidad de Cantabria.
