History

The CIEM was created in January 2006. Every year we host around twelve mathematical events with a mean of 50 participants. See the full list of events in the "Activities" menu.

CIEM was one of the nodes of the i-Math project since its orgins in October 2006 until its end in April 2012. i-Math was a Spanish-wide mathematics research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation via the Ingenio 2010 - Consolider program. There were more than 1500 researchers involved in this project.

Since May 2009, the CIEM is also the physical site of the GeoGebra Institute of Cantabria, and hosts the regular meetings and courses organized by it.
