Advanced topics of analysis applied to Quantum Information problems

This is a 14 hour advanced course addressed to mathematicians with some expertise on harmonic analysis and/or Banach space theory and/or operator algebras and who want to get acquainted with connections to quantum information theory. It consists of an introductory session plus three minicourses:

Introductory session: Basic background on Quantum Mechanics for QIT,

Operator Spaces and Bell Inequalities
Carlos Palazuelos (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
Four hours in two sessions / September 22 and  23.

Local Banach space theory and Quantum Channels
Elisabeth Werner (Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland)  
Four hours in two sessions / September 23 and  24.

Abstract Harmonic Analysis and Topological Quantum Computation.
