Next September the 15th European Young Statisticians Meeting (organized each 2 years) will be held. Two representatives of each European country, selected by the member of the International Organizer Committee, (appointed by each country) will attend. The selection to this meeting will be made based on academic awards. This meeting is supported by the Bernoulli Society and its spirit is based on the coexistence and exchange of ideas of young statisticians with the aim of the reinforcing the cooperation between the different European countries and also establish professional and personal links between the statisticians of the future.
The requirements for participating are as follow:
- Researcher on the Statistics field o similar (Operative Research), in a public or private Spanish organism, or having the Spaniard nationality in an international organization.
- Under 30 years old, or if not, having an experience on researching of 5 years as much.
- Send a detailed CV (standard model of the MEC proposals, with: personal reference, contact, education, researcher experience, publications on international and national magazines, books, participations in congress, and others important.
- Send an abstract of the work presented in the meeting. The Summary will be accepted in Spanish or English, but the working language of the meeting will be exclusively English.
- All proposals must be sent before March the 3 rd 2007, to the address mention above, the CV and the abstract in PDF.
The final decision/choice of the Organizer Committee about the 2 participants will be made in the period of 1 month.
Initially, we are able to announce that the final deadline for the works presented/posted will be the end of April.
The registration fees will probably cover maintenance and won’t be too expensive.
