SIMUMAT courses and conferences in “Mathematical Analysis in Fluids and its Simulation’’ July 7-12, 2008. The aim of this week is to instruct young mathematicians in topics involving mathematical analysis of hydrodynamics. The course takes the form of a series of lectures being structured so that there is a combination of theoretical analysis and computation techniques. The following themes will be addressed:
- Navier-Stokes and Euler equations.
 - Statistical hydrodynamics
 - Mathematical aspects of physical turbulence
 - Large Eddy Simulation of turbulent flows
 - Interface dynamics

Invited speakers:
- Edriss Titi, University of California (Irvine) & Weizmann Institute.
 - Luigi Berselli, Università di Pisa.
 - Diego Córdoba, CSIC-ICMat.
 - Francisco Gancedo (University of Chicago).
 - Ana María Mancho, CSIC-ICMat
 - Rafael Orive, UAM-ICMat

Preregistration is open until March 31 (non EU residents) or April 15 (EU residents).
